WHY CHOOSE US
Why 500+ Families Trust Us.
For over 130 years, the Tillman-Watson Cemetery has served as the final resting place for hundreds of families in the Luther community and beyond. Founded in the early 1890s by David Tillman with a generous donation of land, our cemetery was established on the principle of serving all families, regardless of their economic circumstances.
This tradition of compassionate service continues today through the dedication of the Tillman-Watson Cemetery Association. What began as David Tillman’s gift to his community has grown into a 32-acre sanctuary where families find peace, remembrance, and dignity for their loved ones.
We understand that choosing a final resting place is one of life’s most important decisions. Our cemetery combines the reverence of historical significance with modern care and attention. From our founding families—the Tillmans and Watsons—to the hundreds of families we serve today, we honor the legacy of those who built our community while providing compassionate service to those who entrust us with their most precious memories.
At Tillman-Watson Cemetery, we don’t just maintain grounds—we preserve legacies, honor memories, and continue a tradition of community service that spans three centuries. When you choose us, you become part of a story that began with pioneers who believed every person deserves a dignified resting place, and continues with families who value history, community, and lasting remembrance.
“This cemetery is very rich in culture; This is definitely a must see for anyone visiting Luther.”
